I took my first yoga teacher training at Karma Kids Yoga in 2005, I knew I was on a special journey. My love of children and yoga allowed me to combine my passions and to share something truly special with even the youngest yogis. I loved teaching kids yoga, but being a lifelong learner, I kept seeking out additional trainings to expand the community of individuals that I could reach with yoga. I now say that I teach yoga to EVERY body and EVERYBODY – from infants as young as 5 weeks old to adults 105 years ‘young.’
I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania and hold a Masters Degree in Education from New York University. Currently, I am a head teacher at Gan Shalom Nursery School in Plandome, a Registered Yoga Teacher (200 hour), a Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher, with additional training to work with Children with Special Needs, and a Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher. I am also a certified Group Exercise Instructor and Personal Trainer. I have traveled internationally training adults how to teach yoga to children, and co-authored training manuals for Kids Yoga, Teen Yoga and also created the Kids Yoga en Español curriculum as a way for kids yoga teachers to incorporate Spanish into their classes.
My true passion is sharing the gift of yoga with my students. I challenge my students to not take themselves too seriously, to step out of their comfort zones and to always try a pose that the mind thinks the body can’t do.
